Assembly Bill 357 was voted down yesterday in a 5 to 1 vote. Every Democrat voted NO with the lone Republican member voting in the affirmative. Support and Opposition was as follows:

It is amazing to me that so many sheriffs and Law Enforcement personnel were present. The SCOTUS decided that police do not have the responsibility to protect the public and the LEO’s don’t want us to be able to do it ourselves. What is left? Please go to Assemblymember Steve Knight’s website and voice your support. Get involved. The assembly agreed to hear the bill again in the future. We would like to go into the next hearing with 100,000 signatures.

This only goes to show that in the Republik of Kalifornia, the people in power think that the ordinary law-abiding subjects of this police-state are more stupid and not as smart as the citizens of the other 48 states when it comes to understanding the rational and legal aspect of carrying a concealed weapon, and that the powers that be think it is their god-given right to tell me how NOT to protect my family.
I hope they don’t find themselves in need of one someday. VOTE THEM OUT.
This just goes to show you that the Democrat party is out of touch on this issue and refuse to see the light.
I will sign any petition that supports this bill and I am a registered voter.
I hope to get my chance to do so but the very same people who keep saying “no” are also the same people who have armed body guards and CCW permits as well.
Can you say “Double standard”
Vote these people out of office and get people in who do not have their heads buried in the sand or someplace else!
I should have the right to decide for myself to carry concealed or not. A lot of things can happen within 15 seconds and that is a lot faster than you can dial a phone to get help. Like the old saying goes..”It is better to have it and not need it than it is to need it and not have it”.
I wonder if there was any pressure for law enforcement to show support??????
I am a 57 year old male working in public safety for many years. I am totally in support of AB357 and can’t understand why any member of the Public Safety Committee thinks that Californians should not have the same options as do the majority of states afford their citizens. I have written to and spoken to friends and others asking that they contact that committee and express thier feelings that this not bill not die there.
